The Knotty pine home is 1700 Sq Ft of comfortable living space including three large bedrooms, a full bath and 1/2 bath; a full kitchen with lots of continuous counter space and a roomy layout; a dining room that seats six with ease; a large but cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace for the occasional cool evening; and a large three season porch with comfortable seating, game table, and breakfast nook for morning coffee, or afternoon tea.


The lake area is good for swimming.  A dock patio provides a place to sun, swim and dive from.
A boat slip is provided.

Lake Kimble is a great fishing lake stocked with Muskies, Walleye, Northern Pike, Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass, Crappies, and Sunfish.  As one of the Ossawinnamakee Chain of Lakes, Kimble Lake is connected by “small-boat” channels to several other lakes.  Leaving from the dock, experience kayaking and canoeing for miles through connecting small lakes and into the Pine River. Beside fishing, Kimble Lake is excellent for small boating, water-skiing, wake-boarding, personal watercraft, small boat sailing, snorkeling and other water sports. Small boat rentals are available upon request.  Additionally, sailing lessons or excursions are available on Lake Kimble, taught by experienced sailors.


Hikers, bikers and skaters have easy access to hundreds of miles of interconnected paved trails from the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway, a mere two-blocks away, to the famous Paul Bunyan State Trail, a 100 mile-long trail that travels through six communities, passes along the shores of 21 lakes, crosses 9 rivers and streams and cuts through pristine pine forests and wild wetlands.  Trails are handicap accessible.


Two blocks north of Välkommen Inn, The Old Milwaukee Club serves up the finest burgers, pizza and daily specials, full-bar and off-sale liquor.  Next door to the club is The Ideal Market, a convenience store with gas, groceries, bait and tackle, and an espresso coffee shop.  Less than a block south of Välkommen Inn is the legendary Norway Ridge Supper Club boasting the best in steaks, seafood, and fine-dining in the lakes area.

Golf is a passion in the lakes country with over 20 unique golf courses in the area and over three-hundred holes to satisfy any duffer.  From Whitefish Golf Club, a short three minute drive from Välkommen Inn, to Arnold Palmer’s, Deacon’s Lodge, a seven-minute drive away, to the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Legacy Courses, and numerous other award winning courses around the lakes area, will keep even the most avid golfer busy.

Shopping is a favorite pastime of many visitors to the area, and Välkommen Inn is located near the shopping towns of Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, Nisswa, Emily, and Crosby.  There are 38 antique shops and a myriad of unique gift shops in the surrounding area.

The lakes area has many festivals
throughout the summer and many fun kid friendly events including Pine River’s Summerfest, 4th of July fireworks over the
area lakes, town parades and flea markets, Crow Wing County Fair, Pequot Lakes Crazy Days, Crosslake Days, Bean Hole Days, Boat show, Ideal Firefighters Annual Beef Feed, Pioneer Day, and Bluegrass Festival.  With so many activities to choose from you can be busy all day or you can relax down by the water, watch some of the most magnificent sunsets and listen to the loon calls.
